Dec. 28, 1937-March 29, 2008
Peggy passed away surrounded in the love of her family on March 29, 2008. She was born December 28, 1937 to Amasa R. Howard and Robenia Howard. Peggy was one of eleven children and after her mother's death, she was raised by her sister-in-law, Rody Howard, and her step-mother, Gertrude Howard, up on the farm in Idaho. She graduated from Davis High School and then traveled with friends and family. After patiently waiting for her sweetheart to return from a mission, she married Albert Earl Stanbridge, Jr. on September 7, 1963 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She had four children, but claimed many others as her own as well. Peggy retired from Smith's after first starting work there when it was known as Grand Central. She was a talented photographer and enjoyed taking pictures of weddings, anniversaries, parties, birthdays, family portraits, special needs dances and of nature.
She loved the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Peggy was known for having fun. Her genuine personality and loving nature drew many friends to her. He unselfish nature was felt by all as she put others needs before her own. She could be heard for miles when cheering on the Jazz. Over the years she had many callings in the church and she enjoyed the opportunities to serve and make new friends. Anyone who knew Peggy knows that her favorite thing was her Mustang convertible. She and Earl shared many special drives. While we are heartbroken by the loss of Peggy, we take comfort knowing that she is driving around heaven, giving everyone a ride in her Mustang convertible.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Jan Stanbridge, and siblings: Orlean Howard Clarkson, Max Howard, Beth Page, Glen Howard, Helen Christensen, Reva Howard, Rulon Howard, and Duaine Howard. She is survived by her husband; her children: Vicky Bangerter, Cindy (Dave) Clawson, Lori (Ryan) King; her grandchildren: Gavin Bangerter, Trevor Bangerter, Samantha Clawson, and Keith Clawson; her siblings: Leah Peterson, LaRae Dillingham; and her many nieces and nephews.
