CENTERVILLE -- From gaining tips about that all-important "foot in the door" when approaching businesses to the latest news from the nation's capital -- it's all on tap from the Davis Chamber of Commerce. Then too, there will be a chance to kick back and "hit the links," later this month as well. As has become customary with the chamber, a variety of events are coming up within the next few weeks. The "Women in Business Leadership Luncheon" Thurs-day, Aug. 11 at 11:30 a.m. will attempt to answer any concerns about making sales or other business-related contacts with businesses.

Kathleen Gage will share "101 Ways to Get Your Foot in the Door" in the session at the Castlebrook Reception Center, 930 W. Antelope Drive, Layton. Cost for lunch is $15 with RSVP needed by calling the Chamber at 295-6944.

The latest news from the nation's capital will be shared by Rep. Rob Bishop, R-Utah. The Kaysville native will be the keynote speaker for the chamber's monthly luncheon. It is set for Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Castlebrook Reception Center. RSVP by calling the Chamber. Cost of the luncheon is $15.

"Marketing Basics" will be the topic of the next Business Success Forum, set for Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 7:30 a.m. at the Davis Applied Technology College, 550 E. 300 S., Kaysville.

The experiences of several successful companies will be shared in their development and use of a marketing plan. In addition, ways to build brand identity and product market awareness will also be related. This is a no-host event, meaning those buying breakfast will pay for their own meal at that time.

The Chamber's 25th annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 24. This no-host event will be held at the Bountiful Ridge Golf Course. To sign up or for more information, call 295-6944.
