High school art on display

KAYSVILLE -- The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is currently holding its annual art show at Barnes Bank in Kaysville.

Senior students throughout the Davis School District were invited to enter their artwork for display.

Four works were chosen by each high school teacher and are currently hanging in the bank until May 2007.

Many of the students received awards for their artwork, which were presented last week.

Best-of-school awards were given to Sara Larsen's "Life Line" (Bountiful High School); Ella Kate Bingham's "Black and White" (Clearfield High School); Brett Ferrin's "Untitled" (Davis High School); Lindsay Evan's "Anatomy" (Layton High School); Kristin Keller's "Curly Girly" (Northridge high School); Samantha Morris' "Untitled" (Viewmont High School) and Lindsay Rigby's "Elephant Hunter" (Woods Cross High School).

Students who received honorable mentions include Preston Jackson, Kaylee Chavez, Jacob Low, Chad Green, Kelly Durham, Erica Perry, Tara Billinger, Lee Olsen, Michall Woodward, Mellissa Howell and Tanner Petroff.
