The faces of the Fruit Heights and Kaysville city councils will look a bit different soon. That's because one new member is being recruited for each. Applications are available at city hall and should be accompanied by a resume; those for the Fruit Heights position are due Thursday, Nov. 2. By state law, applicants must have been a resident of the city for at least a year and be current residents.

The council is due to replace Hoyt Stephenson, who is moving to Wyoming and will officially step down Dec. 5. The council will interview applicants Nov. 9 and a selection is due to be made Nov. 21.

Kaysville Council member Casey Hill, meanwhile, has started a new job with the American Heart Association, which requires that he hold no elected position. He stepped down from his council seat effective Monday.

Requirements are the same for Hill's replacement with an application due at city hall by Friday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m. The Kaysville Council is due to choose a replacement in its Nov. 14 meeting.
