FARMINGTON -- Three individuals will be honored by the Davis Chamber of Commerce when they receive the Legacy Award Jan. 19. The award will recognize original Davis County Commissioners Wayne Winegar, the late Glen Flint, Dr. Evan Taylor and other key participants involved in the construction of the causeway to Antelope Island.

The Legacy Award is presented to prominent leaders in the community who have provided extraordinary leadership to Davis County, the state, and/or nation.

The recipients' accomplishments go far beyond the routine level of participation that is normally expected of people in their positions.

The award will be made in a presentation during the annual Davis Chamber Awards Banquet, at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 19, at the Oakridge Country Club. RSVP through the Davis Chamber of Commerce at (801) 593-2200.
