During the first quarter, Jordan shot just one of six from the field and looked like he may struggle to reach his 20.75 season scoring average, but as the second quarter began Jordan began to heat up. Jordan scored six points for the Knights in the first two minutes of the second quarter and had his team within a point of the lead, but moments later, Cordell Badger connected on a three from the top of the key to stretch the Darts' lead to 15-10. Jordan scored 10 points in the quarter, and the Knights had the Darts' lead in sight, but the Darts continued to make key baskets to keep it out of reach, and were able to extend it to eight points entering the fourth quarter.
On the first play of the fourth quarter the Knights' Joey Lambert connected on a three to cut the Dart's lead to five, but just as they had all game, the Darts did not allow the Knights to completely erase it. With four minutes remaining in the game, Nick Martineau scored four straight for the Darts and the Darts held their biggest lead of the game, 44-34. At the three- minute mark the Darts spread out the court and began to play keep away from the Knights to dwindle the clock down to a minute before the Knights desperately began to foul the Darts. In the final minute, the hero for the Darts was Bryan Johnson, who made five of six free throws, after not scoring a point during the rest of the game. The Darts were able to pick up the crucial Region 1 victory, 51-43.
Martineau led the way for the Darts with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Van Brocklin added 10 points as well. Jordan hit 13-18 shots in the final three quarters, to finish with 28 points to go along with nine rebounds in defeat for the Knights. "We're getting help from a lot of positions in a lot of ways, not just scoring, When everyone contributes, we feel like we can compete with any team in the region."
