WEST BOUNTIFUL -- A round of applause followed Tuesday night's swearing in of Randy Lloyd as new West Bountiful City Police Chief by Mayor James Behunin. The brief ceremony was conducted before members of the city council and assembled residents. "All I can say after that is 'get to work,'" said Behunin in jest, following his administration of the oath of office. "Actually, Chief Lloyd has spent a lot of time with us already." Whatever concern about the removal of Lloyd's predecessor, Mike Wright, that might remain in the community, none was apparent at city hall Tuesday. Residents in attendance gave the new chief what appeared to be a genuinely warm welcome. Lloyd also made the rounds in the council chambers, shaking hands with members of the elected body and representatives of the city staff.
