KAYSVILLE -- A Clearfield man arrested on driving under the influence charges had to be tasered, after he fled from a Utah Highway Patrol Trooper. UHP Trooper Lisa Steed, stopped Dare Reed, 37, after his vehicle was seen drifting in and out of the lane and nearly running off the road on northbound I-15 near the ponds in Kaysville.

During the investigation, Steed said Reed fled on foot, running down the emergency lane and then into traffic on the Interstate. As he ran, Steed used her taser, but only one probe struck the suspect.

Steed said she was finally able to arrest him for DUI, fleeing on foot, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and unsafe lane travel.
