NORTH SALT LAKE — Police are investigating a robbery at the Zion's Bank, 870 N. Highway 89 that happened just after 4 p.m. on Monday.

An older man wearing a light blue baseball cap and a dark jacket entered the bank "and lingered for a few minutes" before handing a teller a note demanding money and giving some verbal instructions, said North Salt Lake Police Assistant Chief Troy Johnson.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he walked out the west door and headed southbound, Johnson said.

Investigators are currently conferring with detectives in other jurisdictions to determine if the suspect has robbed other banks, Johnson said. Anyone with information is asked to call Bountiful dispatchers at 801-298-6000.
