FARMINGTON — The early registration deadline is July 1 for those wanting to participate in the annual Antelope by Moonlight Bike Ride.
The 21st annual ride will be July 11 at 10 p.m. on the island. It’s a non-competitive “family friendly event held by the light of a full moon on Antelope Island.”
Riders travel 24 miles on asphalt road. A tailgate party with music provided by the local “Endless Summer Band” will be provided. A variety of vendors will also be on hand.
Judging will be at 9 p.m. on the main stage at White Rock Bay.
Registration can be done online at AntelopebyMoonlight.com. It includes a collector’s T-shirt, park entry and refreshments. It is $25 per person if done through July 1. Late registration, with no T-shirt guaranteed, is $30 through July 9.
Proceeds go to the Friends of Antelope Island, a 501c3 non-profit group that raises money for projects that “enhance the visitor experience” of Antelope Island, a press release from Davis County said.
Riders are required to use a working headlight and taillight, and also must wear helmets. Lights and helmets will be available for purchase at the ride.
Vendor applications are also due by July 1 and are available at the same website.
“Let’s have some fun this summer! Bring your family and friends to this great event,” said Neka Roundy, of Davis County Community & Economic Development.
