FARMINGTON - A 50-year-old man accused of having a young girl touch him inappropriately three years ago in Layton has been sentenced to serve eight months in jail, then be deported to Mexico.

Last week, 2nd District Judge David Hamilton sentenced Enrique Burrola to the jail time, suspending a sentence of 0 to five years in the Utah State Prison.

The judge also ordered that Burrola be evaluated by Davis Behavioral Health Inc., and receive counseling or treatment for sexual issues.

In February, Burrola entered a no-contest plea to one count of third-degree felony attempted sex abuse of a child.

A no-contest plea means prosecutors have enough evidence to prove he committed the crime, but allows defendants to maintain their innocence while conceding there may be enough evidence to convict them.

Burrola is accused of touching the genitals of a 9-year-old girl at a baptismal party for family friends, in August of 2011.
