BOUNTIFUL — South Davis County residents, like Utahns statewide, are known for their generosity.

For 24 hours on March 22, Utahns will be asked to contribute to one of 350 nonprofit organizations from throughout the state in the “Love UT Give UT,” virtual giving event.  The single online giving platform is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Utah.

Donors can give to several Davis County organizations, including the Bountiful Community Food Pantry, South Davis Community Hospital, Safe Harbor Domestic Violence Shelter and Crisis Center and the Davis Education Association.

Participating organizations run the gamut from charities that help children to those focused on the environment, and from animal rescue groups to programs helping immigrants.

The event is modeled after similar events nationwide, according to a press release. One held in Park City in November raised nearly $600,000.

Those interested in participating should visit loveUTgiveUT.org to find our more.
