WOODS CROSS The Bountiful Lady Braves and Woods Cross Lady Wildcats squared off on the softball field for the first time this spring, and the Braves were the first to claim victory.

They downed Woods Cross 12-0 last Thursday.

The Lady Darts also won Thursday afternoon, beating West 12-0 to snap a two-game skid, and Eliza Thornley helped the Viking beat Brighton 7-6 in non-region action.

Lady Braves claim first win over Woods Cross

With Bountiful’s Belle Stoddard pitching well inside the circle, the Lady Braves softball team scored nine of its 12 total runs in the first three innings in order to down Woods Cross 12-0 last Thursday.

Stoddard, who picked up her ninth win of the season, allowed just two hits, and the Lady Braves defense committed just one error in the win.

Payton Hart hit a triple as part of Bountiful’s 14-hit attack, and Hanalee Robinson took the loss for Woods Cross.

Lady Darts rout West, 12-0

Davis’ Cierra Udeth, Kayla Pusey and Payton Yearke each hit doubles for the Davis Lady Darts softball team, and Davis scored seven runs in their half of the fourth inning to beat the West High Panthers 12-0 last Thursday at Davis High School.

Cheyenne Norton pitched inside the circle for Davis, allowing two hits and earning the shutout. The Lady Darts used 12 hits to score their 12 runs in the game, and committed zero errors on the field.

The win snapped a short two-game losing skid for the Darts.
