LDS speech to examine “believing gene” on Thursday

SALT LAKE CITY
 — Anne Osborn Poelman, renowned neuroradiologist and lecturer, will present “Our Genes, Our Selves: Is There a ‘Believing Gene’?”

It will be Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.

The presentation is part of the Church History Museum’s “Evenings at the Museum” lecture series and will be in the museum’s main auditorium, 45 North West Temple.

 The event is free and open to the public but reservations are recommended.

 Poelman is a university distinguished professor and professor of radiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine.  

She travels extensively, sharing her medical expertise in neuro-radiology, which is the diagnosis of brain and spine diseases. 

 Poelman is the author of “The Simeon Solution: One Woman’s Spiritual Odyssey and The Amulek Alternative: Exercising Agency in a World of Choice.”

Both books were published by Deseret Book and examine spiritual issues and questions of interest to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
