Health fair held in Kaysville

KAYSVILLE – The Davis Applied Technology College is hosting a health fair, 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at the campus on 550 E. 300 South in Kaysville.

The Department of Workforce Services and Aviacode are co-sponsoring the event.

There will be a brief 15 minute orientation on public college tax subsidized tuition rate of $2.43 per hour, flex scheduling, open enrollment, hands-on-training, short-term completion and high completion rate.

Career counselors will be on hand, as well as financial aid representatives, a press release from the college said.

The DATC is offering a Hot Jobs Scholarship, which includes 50 percent off tuition for the first four courses in Dental Assisting, Medical Assistant and Electronic Health Information Technician.

DWS has $6,000 training grants for those who quality that provide full-fide scholarships for the 11 DATC programs to be offered Wednesday night.

Programs available include Dental Assisting, Electronic Health Information Technician, EMT Basic or Advanced, Firefighter, Medical Assistant, Medical/Dental Office Specialization, Nurse Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Practical Nurse and Surgical Technology.
