Future of science, space opens to students

KAYSVILLE — “It’s impossible to predict the amazing opportunities that await you.”

Senator Jake Garn looked out over hundreds of third and sixth graders assembled at Davis High this week, and told about how science had changed over his lifetime before making the above comment.

He told them he was jealous of their opportunities and said that some day they may find themselves standing before a crowd like he was, telling them all the many things they’ve been able to accomplish.

“Remember how important it is to train your brain,” he said, “to get the best education.”
